Off my game | Finding my way back to peace

I have got to make some serious changes in my life – discipline.

I have not been working out the way I want to so I want to make a change.

The first 3 weeks of this cleanse I felt alive and brand new – and now I feel a little clouded again.

Perhaps because I have drifted away from eating mostly raw and have slid into the partly raw arena.

I need to make a shift.

No more indulging in popcorn – even if it is air popped lol

I need more leaves, roots & beans!

I want my balance back – and daily yoga is back in full effect!

 

I WROTE THAT WEEKS AGO…

and never posted it.

Thought I’d update it today.

I see now that I was being a little hard on myself, but perhaps I did what I needed to do to keep myself disciplined.

It worked.

I’m now down 27 lbs and have managed to keep my bipolar symptoms in check thus far.

I’ve been doing regular yoga and even made it out for a few runs.

My eating has been superb – although I did indulge a few times, I kept it balanced and upped my fitness during the time.

No more bad habits only occasional treats!

I feel healthier in body, mind and spirit and I’ve only just begun!

Life now has so much promise where before I felt empty and lost.

I have real concrete goals – like to seriously get into my yoga practice,  find a teacher and commit to my practice and decided in a few years if I’d like to,  teach.

Goals!

Yes me!

Business is moving along and I have now added a new feature to my blog (MakeydahsPantry.com) Yogi of the Month where I interview lesser known yogis to give them exposure and show people the real heart of yoga.

I have so much planned for my website it’s incredible!

I’m on cloud nine – but in a realistic way.

Life is good because I am taking part in shaping it into something I feel is good.

Thank God for Yoga, Dharma, Niyamas and Bhakti 🙂

I just wanted to take this opportunity to not only update my blog, but to also share some of this positive good feeling I am experiencing at the moment.

This has to be shared!

Karmic Law | What’s your karmic FICA score?

In light of a few things that have been going on in my life lately, I’ve been meditating on Karma for a minute.

I’m curious as some things catch up to some people so quickly and others, they just seem to rack up negative karmic debt and keep on rolling on with  little to no consequence.

I mean, pure evil.

Abusive – to everyone.

Sociopaths.

I digress…

I put conscious effort into not only my karma, but the karma of those I encounter daily.

I do not want to spread any negative vibes.

I try to notice when I am moving into a negative place and I withdraw a little – not anti-social like I used to, but just a little.

I don’t visit people’s homes and stuff like that.

Negative energy lingers and I try to get out of the house and walk around a store, around the park – SOMETHING to difuse the negative energy coursing through me.

You gotta let it out – don’t allow it to get trapped in.

But also, don’t spread it to others!

Negative energy is like a virus.

It needs a host to facilitate it’s ‘thing’.

Quarantine works – but you have to know how to do it,

I guess I was in the mood to jot down some of my current thoughts.

Maybe just to look back and see where my head was at in this moment in my life one day.

Or maybe even feedback?

Who knows.

Being Zen | 30 Days of Cleansing ☯

I’m pretty proud of myself and I’m also ready to tackle the next 60!

There have been a few bumps in the road – going through one now.

It’s my own fault due to lack of organization.

But come next week all should be good.

 

For the past 2 or 3 days, I’ve been very zen-like.

I can really say that by looking back, I can see this has been a slow progression in my change in mood and attitude.

Could it have something to do with eating so clean?  Or the yoga?  Or both?

Hmm…

What ever it is, I know that yoga and eating clean have helped me lose 21 pounds so far!

Woot!

Hells yes baby!

I’m very happy with that.

Otherwise, not much else going on except still no groceries – and that meant no Farmer’s Market today.

I’m expecting an update early next week, so Farmer’s Market next Saturday!

I have a couple more blog posts coming this week (if I don’t get lazy and put them off)

I have a few more updates I’d like to bring you as well.

How to Spiritually Cleanse ∞

A spiritual cleanse is an important aspect of a full out cleanse – cleansing from the inside out that is.Unfortunately, the spiritual side of things is the one often missed when cleansing or detoxing is discussed.Spirituality is something that is very important to me and is something that I feel need to be given it’s proper reverence on a regular basis.That being said, I felt it important to include some of the things that I do the help clear out the negative energy that has accumulated around me by fault of my own or otherwise – more on that later.

Spiritual Baths

The first thing you want to do is to create a spiritual bath that you are to soak in.

This should be done with any variety of herbs to give you the metaphysical results you desire.

Some of my favorite cleansing herbs are:

  • Anise – protection, purification
  • Basil – protection, love
  • Bay Leaf – protection, psychic powers, purification, healing
  • Blood Root – love. protection, purification
  • Chamomile – protection, purification
  • Garlic – healing, protection
  • Hyssop – purification, protection

With just a few minutes of research and planning, you can create the perfect blend for your bath.

An ideal regimen is to make enough bath tea to last you for at least 7 baths – or 10 – whichever you are inclined to do is fine.

To create a bath tea, you simply assemble about a handful of each herb into a bowl, cover and seep in approximately a gallon of boiling water.

Seep for 20-30 minutes.

After your tea has seeped for the required time, you have a choice, depending on your beliefs to either find a biblical psalm that applies to your current situation or need or simply recite a prayer or desire over your seeping tea to infuse it with positive vibrations, intentions, love and anything else you’d like included.

Once cooled and using a strainer to catch the loose herbs, transfer your bath tea to a gallon jug and store in the refrigerator until you want to use it again.

Sea Water Soak/Salt Baths

Over all, the best and simplest method of cleansing your physical body as well as your spiritual one is to totally immerse yourself in sea water – nothing beats it!

Although, many people do not have the luxury of living near the beach and weather doesn’t always permit this as well so an alternative to the BEST is to take a salt bath using 100% pure sea salt w/ optional epsom salts.

You should use approximately 1 cup of each salt for this.

Note: During any spiritual cleanse it is important to use the entire bath within the time limit prescribed.
