‘Change your mind to change your life’
That’s how I was finally able to do it – by changing the way I thought about food and more importantly about myself.
At my highest weight, I was 225 pounds and on psychotropic drugs feeling miserable and lost.
As of the writing of this page, I am down
21 25 27 34 40 pounds! [edited 07-14-14]
Here is a comparison photo:
It’s exciting seeing the changes in my body and I’m even more excited to keep seeing them.
I’m also enjoying seeing (and feeling) the changes from within.
In August of 2013, I began my yoga journey.
Not only is my asana practice responsible for the weight shedding off, but it’s also responsible for my finally laying to rest all the baggage I’ve been lugging around for the past 30 years or so.
This is a blessing for sure, and is something I am more than grateful for.
I’ve lived in pain for so long, the relief is the sweetest thing ever.
The weight loss is simply the cherry on top.
I understand this journey will take time and I embrace that.
I am going to savor every moment along the way!
